ISE I Travel Lesson
In this download, you can find a multi-text reading and reading into writing lesson about the topic of TRAVEL to help your ISE I students prepare for the travel subject area and the ISE I exam. The lesson involves reading, writing and speaking about student travel.
How to use the ISE I Travel Lesson
The lesson starts with a brief discussion about travel, places the students have visited and would like to visit and paying for holidays. This discussion also introduces the concept of student travel and students going on holiday.
The next part of the class is a multi-text reading activity about student travels. The reading is an ISE I style reading activity – the students match sentences to the texts, they find true statements and they have to complete the summary notes with a few words from the text.
After completing the reading, the reading into writing question is introduced and then the students have to do some paraphrasing and summarising activities. This will help them with the writing task.
Finally, the students complete the reading into writing task which is an article about students’ travels.
